This book is 7.5” x10”, and has 100 pages of the handmade cotton paper, which is great with any type of pen or with watercolor paints. The paper is also acid-free and ideal for mounting photos and memorabilia.
This book has an antique icebox hinge closure, which makes it very unique. I cut a sliver out of the hinge to turn it into a hasp/clasp. These hinges date back to the late 1800’s to early 1900’s when iceboxes were quite common. The padlocks that I use are antiques from India (American padlocks of the same era have a much more industrial look…India made them with a bit more flair) , and all of them come with a beautiful key attached. These are actual working locks, and yet I recommend that you treat them more as decoration because of their age. .
